Well, it is, isn’t it? If you say “Japan” to people their impression seems to be pretty close to the title of this blog. So, let’s take this, run with it, write a few pages of blog, dispel a few myths, invent others, and hopefully be informative and yet readable about the place that has been my adopted country for ten years now. Of course, another reason for doing it, is that it makes me look closer at this country which after ten years has become frighteningly normal. Hopefully by writing this blog I will see Japan afresh and recapture some of the sense of wonder that I had when I arrived.
